Position Overview

Purple Cow Organics is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Wheel Loader Operator to support daily operations at our composting and soil production facility. This role plays a key part in moving, blending, and managing organic materials used to create our biology-based compost and soil products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to move raw materials, compost, and finished products
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, and processing areas efficiently and safely
• Assist in blending and managing compost windrows and soil mixes
• Monitor material quality and report any inconsistencies or issues
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment preferred
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
