Class A CDL Driver

Purple Cow Organics, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Class A CDL driver to assist with our expanding delivery needs. Our service area spans throughout Southern Wisconsin from production sites in the Madison and Milwaukee areas. However, we are increasingly extending our reach into central Minnesota, Eastern Iowa, Northern Illinois and both Michigan Peninsulas. Overnight runs are minimal, if any; candidates can expect to be home nightly.


  • Candidate will possess a valid Class-A CDL and medical card
  • Must pass a DOT physical, criminal background check and drug screen
  • 2 years of verifiable tractor/trailer experience
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • This position will work out of Madison, WI and report to the Logistics Manager


  • Experience with belt trailers and walking floors preferred
  • Ideal candidate has experience with flatbeds, lowboys and hauling oversize/overweight equipment
  • Drivers with end loader, excavator, industrial screener and/or grinder experience strongly encouraged to apply, as opportunities may arise for additional work in those areas
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions

Responsibilities-But not limited to:

  • Pick up and deliver appropriate product/equipment, as designated by Logistics Manager, in a timely fashion
  • Clean truck/trailer inside and out as needed
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Perform basic/routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, as needed
  • Courteously interact with customers and dispatchers

Job Specifications 
This is a full-time position generally working between the hours of 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday with Saturday hours on an as needed basis, which may occur a handful of times a year. This work will have a starting point from Madison, WI and will include deliveries generally in Wisconsin, sometimes to IL, MN and MI. Production Line Worker - Bagging PT Seasonal

At Purple Cow Organics we believe that the quality of the food we eat is directly related to the quality of the soil in which it is grown. Purple Cow Organics is a locally-owned company that produces quality soil amendment products such as premium compost, growing media and liquid biologicals for customers in the Midwest and beyond. We are committed to making a difference for both the professional and backyard grower, and are looking for dedicated professionals to join our growing team!

Start Date: August

Position: This position will work on a production line to operate machinery that fills and seals inventory into bags. This position is part-time, seasonal work for approximately 1-2 months.

Hours: M-F 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

Qualified Candidates Must Present the Following Attributes

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs
  • A positive, "can do" attitude
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to perform the same task repeatedly

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

$12/hr plus a bonus will be received after a set period for perfect attendance.
