Summary

The purpose of this trial was to demonstrate measurable yield improvements from a wide range of organically approved fertility inputs. This compared treatments in the trial that had a single, in-furrow liquid fertility application, as well as those that had in-furrow and side-dress treatments. This high-yielding plot had a base fertility of 4,000 pounds of pelletized 5-3-2-7Ca chicken litter.

Of the 30 treatments in the trial, 7 had in-furrow-only treatments. Bioactive LiquiLife™ (formerly CX-1) was in two—the top two. 20 treatments had in-furrow and side-dress treatments. LiquiLife was in four—the top four.

This trial showcased a +23.1 bushel increase with LiquiLife and a food source (TerraFed) as an in-furrow treatment only. With an additional 5 gallons of LiquiLife and 5 gallons of TerraFed in a side-dress pass, the yield over baseline was +37.1bu ($259.70).

LiquiLife is a complete mix of minerals, carbon, and biology, which increases the chance for grower success. This product offers the potential to make any current fertility mix more effective. Take a good mix and make it better!

Trial

Below are the top three fertilizer treatments within the trial data. Correlation with the study indicated the fertilizer combinations of in-furrow with side-dress applications had significant effects when compared to in-furrow treatments alone. Within the top 3 treatments, LiquiLife was in two.

Results

Up to a 10% yield increase from the baseline when using LiquiLife and a food source (TerraFed).
